CRCES invites applications for the following position(s): Current Job Openings Research AssociateResearch associate for a project on analyses of the Indo-Pacific Warm Pool’s decadal-multidecadal variability and its impacts on global climate. Background requirements include a Ph.D. degree or an M.S. degree with at least five years’ relevant experience in Meteorology/Physical Oceanography/closely-related field; and some experience of using general circulation models of the oceans and/or the atmosphere, and statistical analysis techniques. Experience of using Unix/Linux-operated workstations and servers, and graphics software such as GrADS and IDL is essential
The appointment in this position will begin on or about 15 July 2006. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits are generous.
